General Information

Welcome to the Robotics program for Lakeshore School part of the Fondy Heat/Fire Robotics program that competes in the national FIRST competition. We will have 4 teams this year consisting of 4 students each. Each team will have a student team leader to basically manage the project from beginning through completion. Each team will also have a lead parental "technical adviser" to help with organization and keeping the team on track. The main meeting for our group will be on Wednesday nights after school until about 5:00pm. Its OK if the different teams want to select a different night to work or location. The calendar on this site can be used to plan events and will be updated as dates become firm for the programming lecture and final competition. We will need to have the kids construct fully functioning robots before the programming can be done.

Image award-
The other section of the competition that the teams can win a trophy in is the Image award. This is an award given to the team that best markets itself to their school and community at large. I will have some examples to show at the parents meeting.

Meeting Agenda:
5:00 – 5:15 Introduction (Please be prompt)
5:15 – ? Split Parents and Kids
Parents will discuss meeting days, times, snack assignments, and involvement.
Kids will watch the video of this year’s competition, and pick teams.
